Motherwell Promising performance

When Motherwell suffered a 7-2 trouncing from Aberdeen in February 2017 the Mark Mcghee era was coming to an end. Under Stephen Robinson,theteamshavemeteighttimessince,with four wins apiece. That’s a surprising enough stat given the strength of the two clubs but within our four victories lies the remarkable feat of three 3-0 wins in three different competitions.

At Fir Park on Saturday, Aberdeen looked like a team with their minds elsewhere – not unreasonably. But that should not take away from a fine Motherwell performance which fully merited the win. There can certainly be no relaxing just yet, but we seem, finally, to be moving in the right direction.
