Dundee Golden oldies

- Gary Cocker

Dundee found a spirit missing under Neil Mccann’s tutelage to overhaul a two-goal deficit and emerge from Easter Road with a creditable draw, due in no small part to the contributions of the veterans in the team as Darren O’dea stifled their strikers and Kenny Miller and Paul Mcgowan hit the back of the net.

All three of them are, to put it politely, moaners and fighters, and have transformed a meek and quiet team into a pain to play against. Mcgowan’s return to the team has helped stitch together our midfield and attack, and Miller’s adherence to his target man role in lieu of his traditional headless chicken act is also reaping rewards. This trio’s experience and attitude, combined with Jim Mcintyre’s commitment to drilling the team in the basics, gives me reason to believe.
