Celtic Break from the norm

- Kevin Graham

It’s always nice to come out of an international break with a spring in your step and not the feeling that you may have stepped in something. Scotland winning the Nations League group and qualifying for the play-off has to be seen as the brightest moment since three minutes against England. This was all achieved with doubts still lingering about the whole set-up. Alex Mcleish’s hand was forced with team selections and my thoughts are he was backed into the solution rather than seeing the solution.

Mcleish has made a career out of being a lucky manager rather than a good one and long may that continue. That we have won a group we should have won doesn’t mean that he is bulletproof and safe. He is still only a bad result away from a crisis again.
