Youth accused of ambushing steam train
A youth is to face trial accused of endangering life by ambushing a steam train on a rail preservation society track.
The 17-year-old male is said to have stood on the line causing the train to come to a halt on the Bo’ness and Kinneil Railway in Stirlingshire.
It is alleged that he then jumped on to the train, shouted abuse at the driver, and threw objects into the engine’s cab “to the danger of life to others”.
The teenager is alleged to have been acting with juveniles, who also cannot be named, at the time of the alleged incident on 11 May.
