BRE Scotland is to move to Glasgow’s Clyde Gateway, providing it with room for “significant” growth.

The building consultancy has signed a pre-letting agreement for a 7,200 square foot office at the new Red Tree Magenta building, relocating from East Kilbride. It will bring 25 full-time jobs to the site, with plans to grow to 50 staff within 18 months.

It is estimated that Magenta, a 27-acre urban business park next to the River Clyde and M74 motorway network,

will eventually lead to around 12,000 full-time jobs.

Magenta is the third Red Tree building delivered by Clyde Gateway as part of an initiative by Glasgow City Council, South Lanarkshire Council and Scottish Enterprise to regenerate 840 hectares of the east end.

David Kelly, group director at BRE Scotland, said: “Our priorities were to move closer to Glasgow city centre, and to allow us space to accommodate the job growth that we are expecting in the near future.”
