Alloa Athletic In a good place

-

Saturday’s Scottish Cup win over Brechin City was as straightforward an outcome as we could have wished for prior to the game. All three strikers present on the scoresheet was an added bonus, particularly Greig Spence, relieved after notching his first since July. Despite Alloa’s status of best part-time club in Scotland, there are no delusions that we have any divine right to simply turn up and beat the likes of Brechin.

That win means Alloa will approach Saturdays game against Ross County in an excellent frame of mind. Alloa have lost twice to County but both defeats occurred early in the campaign when the squad was threadbare. With Jake Hastie returning, the manager has a variety of attacking options.
