The Trump Organisation’s plans to build hundreds of upmarket houses next to its inaugural Scottish golf resort have been dealt a blow after an economic expert at Aberdeenshire Council described the scheme as a “weak substitute” compared to original plans approved by the Scottish Government a decade ago.

I thought we were short of housing... if Trump wants to build then let him – providing it’s financed by cash from the USA and no one from Scotland invests any money in it, or provides any loans. It will provide much-needed employment!

Localnumberfife Possibly, but the point is that Trump promised much much more in return for the planning consent for his golf course, which Salmond got for him by railroading the planning process.

altnacealgac It’s phenomenal to see Trump spending money in Scotland, his investment his welcome. He is a breath of fresh air for democracy, for humanity and for peace and I think his years in office will lead to wonderful things for this world.

Albert Burton Are you on some exotic substance, or is this your pitch for ‘Comic of the Year’?

Stable Crushed Whea Trump said very clearly and loudly, that he would not spend any more money on development, if the wind-turbines were built. He therefore threatened Scotland and lied.
