(Edinburgh) Died, in Salisbury, on November 22, 2018, aged 94. Formerly of Makerere College, Uganda and the Centre of African Studies, Edinburgh University. Much loved and respected husband of Una, devoted father of Lawrence, Victoria and Kate, adoring and proud grandfather of Evangeline, James, Miles, Piers, Alice and Hannah.
