KEY CLASHES
THE PLAYERS TO WATCH
Odsonne Edouard v Scott Mckenna
French striker Edouard has come on to a game in recent weeks and, although he hasn’t scored in his past three games, he still has 12 goals for the season. He’s a much more physical option in attack for Celtic than Leigh Griffiths but he’ll meet his match in Mckenna tomorrow – the big centre-half doesn’t lose out in too many aerial challenges. Mckenna, getting used to Hampden now after his Scotland appearances, will need to be at his best if the Dons are to keep up their clean-sheet record in the competition.
Scott Brown v Graeme Shinnie
There’s history between these two (Shinnie lunged in on Brown last season and in a post-match interview said ‘what comes around, goes around’, then Brown later described it as a ‘little boy’s tackle’.) So once the captains’ handshake is done before kick-off, there may well be some more fireworks.
James Forrest v Max Lowe
This could be where the game is won and lost. Forrest’s quick feet opened up the Rosenborg defence on Thursday night and Lowe, on loan from Derby County, will know that his concentration levels can’t afford to dip for a second. Lowe has impressed since displacing Andrew Considine at left-back but tomorrow is his biggest test to date.
