X Factor’s final figures plummet
The X Factor bowed out on Sunday night with the second smallest audience for a final in the show’s history. An average of 5.5 million viewers saw Dalton Harris win the competition, according to overnight ratings.
The audience was down a million and a half on the equivalent figure in 2016.
This year’s final enjoyed a peak audience figure of 7.5 million viewers. The biggest ever overnight audience for an X Factor final came in 2010, when a massive 17.2 million saw Matt Cardle win.
