Deep-fried Xmas dinner from Fife proves a big hit

-

A Fife takeaway is selling deep-fried Christmas dinners, featuring fried turkey, sprouts, pigs in blankets and roast potatoes.

James Ellinsworth, 34, has only been selling the 1,000-calorie feast for three days, but it has already proved so popular he sold out of turkey legs.

The monster crunchy box includes roast potatoes, pigs-in-blankets, carrots, and sprouts – all battered and dipped in hot oil.

The festive feast will be on sale at April’s Plaice in Buckhaven until Christmas Eve, costing £8. Diners have the option of either chicken or turkey.
