Girl power to be centre stage at Citizens theatre

A leading theatre has announced its 2019 season will showcase work by women.

The Citizens Theatre in Glasgow will put on four plays by female writers that will also be directed by women.

The season will include Nora: A Doll’s House, a new commission by Olivier Award-winning playwright Stef Smith.

There will also be a new adaption of The Duchess (of Malfi), written and directed by Zinnie Harris, as well as a production of Fibres by Frances Poet and Cora Bissett’s What Girls Are Made Of.
