in their last two Premiership matches against St Mirren and Hibs. However, they remain at the bottom of the table, three points behind the Buddies and eight behind Accies.

The Lanarkshire side’s 3-1 victory over St Mirren on Saturday led Miller to stress the importance of tonight’s game.

He said: “It’s important against a team around us that we don’t get cut too much adrift. So it kind of falls into the category of a must-win game for us. If we keep playing at the same intensity and tempo that we have done in the last few games then I don’t think that win will be too far away and hopefully it will be on Wednesday night.”

Hamilton manager Martin Canning is confident James Keatings possesses the ability to produce moments of magic that will be vital to their survival hopes.

The striker claimed two assists and his first Premiership goal in their 3-1 victory at St Mirren, and Canning knows they have a match-winner in their ranks. He said: “James adds a bit of quality to what we’ve got, in the big moments he can produce that. On Saturday he had two fantastic deliveries for our first two goals and then he had his moment for his own goal, which was brilliant.

“You need those type of players in your team if you are going to win games. Hopefully we can keep him fit and keep him on the pitch because we know he’s got the quality to hurt teams.

“Every team needs those sort of guys at the top end of the pitch, where in one moment they can win you a game.”
