Man in court for alleged Hearts keeper assault
A man has appeared in Edinburgh Sheriff Court charged with assaulting the Heart’s goalkeeper during a derby match with Hibs at Tynecastle.
Edward h arr old ,23, from Stoneyhill Road in Musselburgh pled not guilty to punching Zdenek Zlamal on the head and causing him to fall to the ground in the 31 October match. Harrold’s trial date was set for February. The bad-tempered 0-0 game also saw Hibs manager Neil Lennon being struck by a coin thrown from the crowd. Lennon had called for the responsible supporter to be “singled out”.
