#THERESAMAY

Theresa May was accused of ‘misleading the House of Commons’ by the SNP over the Irish backstop after the full Brexit legal advice was published.

@theresa_may tweeted: “A second referendum would divide us all over again. It would take us back to square one. That’s why I #Backthebrexitdeal.”

@Wivenswold replied to @theresa_may’s tweet: “You know nothing and you’ve been proven to be misleading and in contempt of Parliament. Resign.”

@ingoiolo81 also added: “You divided a us all, starting from your demented Lancaster house speech and continuing with 2yrs without any effort to engage with anyone other than Brexit ultras.”

@Fireteamginger said: “After just watching #PMQS and how @theresa_may tries to squirm out of everything I feel sick. She is misleading the House and misleading us not just over #Brexit but over poverty and the disabled. She is a #cruel leader of a cruel party!”

@Rpdcraddock said: “@theresa_may All you have achieved is [to] divide the country. It is time you listened, instead of doggedly pushing a disastrous outcome. Give all British citizens, and all citizens in Britain, a chance for informed consent, or the possibility to say ‘No, Brexit is a bad idea’.”

#ROSSTHOMSON

Outspoken Scottish Conservative MP Ross Thomson has been criticised after being taken in by a TV crew filming a prank show in which he discussed a fake drug app ‘which supports a child-run cocaine factory in Colombia’.

@Gsmvalentina wrote: “I’ve never felt so embarrassed for someone else.”

@Ellenkerrigan added: “Modern career politicians think they are celebrities, so egotistical and naive, let’s face it, they have barely left school. People who have not lived in the real world but only know a life of education institutes should not be running the country, bring back the older, wiser adult.”

@weehalfpintt added: “One day you’re Boris’ Bodyguard, the next, you’re a Hoodwinked Halfwit! Please never stop disappointing us @Rossthomson_mp.”

@Wolfielonesome tweeted: “Just goes to show how out of touch and self serving he is, utter embarrassment.”
