Ayr United Best-ever performance

A 5-0 win at Dundee United was not what any Ayr fan was expecting but it certainly was a welcome surprise. Ayr were on top throughout the game, with many fans saying it was the best Ayr performance in all their years as an Ayr fan. Once again, Shankland was on top form, scoring four goals and leaving with the match ball. A lot of talk focuses on Shankland but it certainly is not a one-man team. It is time for other teams in the league to recognise that we are no longer “wee” Ayr United. We have everything that it takes to be competing in this league and are proving that with the position we currently hold. We have a management and team that fans are proud of and that any opposition team should fear.
