Queen of the South Win but poor show

-

Queens ended their run of four league games without a victory with a narrow win against struggling Partick Thistle. Despite the result, it was our poorest performance in recent times, and the outcome probably says more about the difficulties our visitors are currently facing than it does our own team. The Jags can certainly feel unfortunate to have lost. They had a tight offside decision go against them, and a strong penalty claim turned down in the closing stages. In the end, the game was settled, once again, by a piece of clinical finishing from Stephen Dobbie, but it came at a cost as he appeared to injure his hamstring as he put the ball in the net.

We now face a daunting trip to Dingwall without our talisman.
