Morton Patience needed
Jonatan Johansson’s slow start to his Morton tenure continued on Saturday, slumping to a 3-0 defeat at Dunfermline. It was a game in which the visitors never even looked like competing, with the result a forgone conclusion from the outset. Again, confidence was high heading to Fife. A resounding win in the Scottish Cup replay had many believing a good run may be developing, especially against an out-ofform Dunfermline. The inability to develop any sort of consistency has been a real difficulty for Johansson since he took over from Ray Mckinnon. But, despite growing concerns, patience is needed. Johansson has a good track record of recruiting well – Alfredo Morelos to Rangers is just one of those. Let’s see what January brings.
