Ross County Another late show

A 1-0 win at Alloa was a great result in the circumstances. Having seen Ayr United thrash Dundee United at Tannadice on Friday night and extend their lead at the top of the table to five points, it was important for Ross County to pick up a win at Alloa the following day. County had already beaten Jim Goodwin’s side twice earlier in the season but it took late goals on both occasions to get the wins. It was more of the same at the weekend, with County dominating but taking until the very end of the match to pick up all three points thanks to a Keith Watson strike. If County can win at home to Queen of the South, then it will set up a smashing contest against Ayr United at Somerset Park in the middle of the month.
