Sheridan Smith, Alison Steadman and Sinead Keenan star in Care ,a new 90-minute drama from Jimmy Mcgovern, co-written with Gillian Juckes whose real life experiences formed the inspiration for the story.
Smith plays Jenny, a mother of two raising her girls alone after the departure of her husband. Her one lifeline is Mary (Steadman), Jenny’s widowed mother, whose help with childcare allows Jenny to hold down her full-time job at the supermarket. When Mary suffers a devastating stroke and develops dementia, their world comes crashing down and everything changes for Mary, Jenny and her sister Claire (Sinead Keenan).
Finding herself torn between her own life and the wellbeing of her mother, Jenny soon discovers that another way could be possible – but she’ll have to fight for it.

This new one-off documentary features exclusive access to Sir Cliff Richard following one of the toughest periods in his career as he celebrates 60 years in show business.
In his first in-depth TV documentary interview in years, Sir Cliff talks about the dark days that followed the BBC televised raid on his home in 2014, his battle to clear his name and the people whose support have got him through tough times.
Filmed over a six-month period at his home in Portugal, at Abbey Road Studios and at Wimbledon, as he prepares to launch his 104th album, the 78-year-old singer talks about his career highs and lows and his recordbreaking longevity.
Featuring interviews with Sir Barry Gibb, Olivia Newton-john, Hank Marvin, Jimmy Osmond, Andrew Lloyd-webber, Brian May and Dame Joan Collins.
