Peacock Alley at the Waldorf Astoria Edinburgh has launched its special Festive Afternoon Tea, served daily from noon until 5pm throughout December (excluding 25 and 31). Choose standard, £45pp, with a glass of mulled wine, or upgrade to a champagne cocktail version for £55. The experience consists of two courses including a Stilton and onion marmalade tart followed by three tiers of sugary treats. Our red nose lit up when we tried the cream-filled popcorn choux bun, the lightly spiced Christmas morning scones and the fruity Christmas pudding dome.
