Studio gibberish?

-

A former wave power plant on Edinburgh’s waterfront is set to be transformed into a national film and TV studio complex.

Conversation of building to be underwritten by Scottish Government. We keep being told they have no money yet can find some to waste on this. How about the overpaid luvvies pooling their unwarranted wealth to finance this venture rather than the hard pressed taxpayer.

Discless A lot, if you look at the number of big productions that are already partly shot in Scotland. This facility would allow entire productions to be done from start to finish, with the potential for a big support industry alongside.

Dunnomuch So a wave power company which was heavily subsidised by hardpressed taxpayers is a total flop. So much for boasts of Scotland being “the Saudi Arabia of renewables”.

Damian Thirsty What a fantastic project and one long overdue. It seems our anti-scottish boys are up in arms about it. They probably think to should be in England .

The ombibulous Duke It is potentially a great project but if the feasibility studies have been done and they are favourable, let the industry finance this themselves.
