Rose returning to the MLS

Motherwell midfielder Andy Rose has joined Vancouver Whitecaps and will complete his move to the MLS outfit when the transfer window opens on 1 January.

Rose joined Motherwell in 2017 from Coventry City and at the end of last season penned a new one-year deal.

But the club has an understanding with Rose, who was previously at Seattle Sounders, that he could return Stateside if an offer came from the MLS in the upcoming transfer window as his green card was due to expire at the start of the new year.

Rose said: “I’ve had such an amazing time at Fir Park and I want to thank everyone at the football club for making me feel welcome from day one.”
