Hearts and Hibs in the clear after derby fracas
Hearts and Hibernian have both escaped disciplinary action from the Scottish Football Association over their players’ derby confrontation at Tynecastle .
Both teams saw cases against them dismissed at an SFA hearing after they were accused of the same offence following the controversial goalless draw on October 31.
The two Edinburgh clubs were charged with breaching rule 204 – when “three or more players and/or members of team staff ” are involved in a confrontation with the opposition.
Players from both sides clashed after Hibs striker Florian Kamberi collided with Hearts midfielder Oliver Bozanic.
Swiss forward Kamberi received his marching orders for a second yellow card and Hearts full-back Ben Garuccio was also booked.
Hearts goalkeeper Zdenek Zlamal was then floored by an alleged assault from a supporter in the away end and Hibs head coach Neil Lennon was later hit with a coin.
Meanwhile, Dundee have submitted their appeal against Nathan Ralph’s red card against Rangers.
The full-back was sent off after bringing down Daniel Candeias on the edge of the box.
Dundee manager Jim Mcintyre said after the game: “I have seen it again and the referee said it was for denying a clear goalscoring opportunity so it will be appealed because Andy Boyle was round on the cover so it is definitely not.”
The SFA confirmed a wrongful dismissal hearingwould be held a th amp den tomorrow.
