SSE’S £350m wind farm opens

SSE has completed the construction and commissioning of the £350m Stronelairg wind farm, near Fort Augustus.

The 66 turbine project is expected to be the Perth utility’s SSE’S final wind farm to be accredited under the Renewables Obligation subsidy scheme. SSE said completion was ahead of schedule and on budget, despite challenges from adverse weather conditionsexperienced last winter.
