Good news week

Tommy Wright hogged the news last week, by reaching 250 games as manager and signing a contract extension. that was great news for supporters, and the players clearly wanted to mark his 250th game with a win against Hearts, but slack marking scuppered that. Tommy must have enjoyed the win at Aberdeen given the performance and result which proved much of what he said pre-match about his players.

Why is he still at Saints? Being settled, happy and secure clearly is more important than taking risks. Too many chairmen panic when success does not happen. Setting the bar higher than where you are is perhaps more challenging. That job has started and it is looking good.
