Ross County Missed opportunity

A disappointing result in a low-quality game all round. Queen of the South were missing Stephen Dobbie, so it seemed a perfect opportunity to leapfrog Ayr United ahead of Saturday’s match at Somerset Park.

In going a goal ahead early I thought County would have been able to see the game out for the win, but complacency crept in and Queens got their equaliser after a couple of warnings. The Staggies found it difficult to create enough chances to win – I counted only three over the 90 minutes.

The draw isn’t the end of the world but the team performance wasn’t good enough. Things need to improve in order to get a good result at Ayr.
