Rangers will have to wait until Thursday before discovering if Alfredo Morelos has any disciplinary charges to answer from Saturday’s win over Celtic at Ibrox.

The 22-year-old Colombia striker appeared to kick out at Celtic skipper Scott Brown, stand on defender Anthony Ralston and flick out his hand at midfielder Ryan Christie’s groin area during the 1-0 victory which took the Ibrox Club level on points with the Ladbrokes Premiership leaders.

The Scottish Football Association’s compliance officer Clare Whyte is awaiting referee John Beaton’s report before deciding whether to take any action.

Morelos has picked up 13 yellow cards and three reds this season, albeit one against

Aberdeen earlier in the season was rescinded.

The former HJK Helsinki player only recently returned from a two-game domestic suspension after he was sent off in the 1-0 defeat to the Dons at Ibrox on 5 December.

The top flight in Scotland is now on a winter break and Steven Gerrard’s side next play away to Cowdenbeath in the William Hill Scottish Cup on 18 January.

Meanwhile, Livingston striker Jack Hamilton has had his red card against Dundee downgraded to a yellow following an appeal by the West Lothian club.

The 18-year-old was sent off by referee Bobby Madden for violent conduct after a tangle with defender Darren O’dea during the goalless Ladbrokes Premiership encounter at Dens Park last Wednesday.

Livi appealed against the sending off with hamilton able to play in the 2-1 home defeat to Aberdeen at the weekend.

Speaking after the Dens Park match, Livingston boss Gary Holt said: “I spoke to (referee) Bobby Madden and he said it was violent conduct for a push in the face.

“But I think Darren O’dea has been clever, the old pro. Jack has pushed him off but he’s adamant he’s not hit him in the face.”
