Former HR boss at Standard Life Aberdeen joins whisky firm

Glenfiddic­h owner William Grant & Sons has hired the former chief people officer at Standard Life Aberdeen to take on the same position at the whisky and spirits giant.

Kerry Christie will take up the post in June, will be based in Scotland and join the company’s executive board.

As the former chief people officer at Standard Life Aberdeen, Christie was responsibl­e for leading global strategies across HR, diversity and inclusion as well as designing and delivering the firm’s global operating model.

Prior to this, she held a number of senior HR roles at major businesses, including the global head of human resources for Aberdeen Asset Management before it merged with Standard Life in 2017.
