Make-up be gone

If you’ve got dry skin and prefer a cleansing milk that doesn’t strip, try the new creation from uber hip brand Aesop. With a texture like calamine lotion, it smells gorgeous, with lavender and sandalwood alongside skin conditioning ingredients including panthenol. Just massage a blob in, then rinse or wipe off with a muslin cloth. For something so gentle, it’s like a burly bouncer when it comes to kicking out make-up. Gentle Facial Cleansing Milk, £25, Aesop, www.aesop.com

In the pink

We’ve always been fans of Benefit’s powder blushers, and now they’ve launched a cutesy palette that showcases a whole quartet. There’s the coral Galifornia, classic dusty pink Dandelion, bronze Hula, and the pinky tan and healthy glow promoting Dallas. Plus, there’s a sneak peek of their pink highlighter Tickle!, which won’t be launched as a full size until September. Shake your pom poms. Cheerleader Pink Squad 5-in-1 Blush, Bronze and Highlight Palette, £52, Benefit, www,benefitcosmetics.com

Scent of the sea

The people at this Margatebased seaweed brand have taken bladderwrack extract, which is supposed to reduce water loss and tighten collagen fibres and blended it with rosehip oil, to create this rich potion. Designed to be used twice a day, it feels pleasingly glutinous and rich, with a natural earthy smell. Our skin felt hydrated, nourished and as smooth as the sea on a wind free day. Rosehip + Seaweed Suspension 3.5 per cent, £26, Haeckels, www.haeckels.co.uk
