The Queen, Colonel-in-chief, The Royal Lancers (Queen Elizabeths’ Own), today received Brigadier Andrew Hughes upon relinquish­ing his appointmen­t as Colonel and Colonel Richard Charringto­n upon assuming the appointmen­t and Lieutenant Colonel Henry Searby upon relinquish­ing his appointmen­t as Commanding Officer and Lieutenant Colonel Adam Foden upon assuming the appointmen­t.

Her Majesty received the Bishop of Derby (the Right Reverend Elizabeth Lane) who did homage upon her appointmen­t. The Bishop of Carlisle (Clerk of the Closet) was in attendance.

The Duke of Cambridge, Commodore-in-chief, Submarines, this afternoon received Rear Admiral John Weale (Flag Officer Scotland and Northern Ireland, Rear Admiral Submarines and Assistant Chief of Naval Staff Submarines).
