Scotland to open 2020 Six Nations against Farrell’s Ireland in Dublin

-

Scotland will open their 2020 Guinness Six Nations campaign in Dublin with an away match against Ireland on Saturday 1 February. The Irish will be under new head coach Andy Farrell.

Scotland’s second match will see them defend the Calcutta Cup against England at Murrayfield on Saturday 8 February, which is followed by fixtures against Italy away a fortnight later and France at home on Sunday 8 March.

The climax to the tournament will be on 14 March, with all three matches played that day. Scotland face Wales away at 2.15pm, which is followed by Italy v England at 4.45pm.

France host Ireland at 8pm, with organisers describing this as an appearance on Saturday night “prime time”. But the late finish is sure to be unpopular amongst many.
