Man in serious condition after stabbing at flat

A man is in hospital after being stabbed in a Glasgow attack police are treating as attempted murder.

The 46-year-old was assaulted by two men in the common close of a block of flats on Riverview Place in the city’s Tradeston area on Wednesday night.

The victim was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital with stab wounds. Staff say he is in a serious condition.

Police Scotland, who were called to the flats at about 10pm, said they were carrying out extensive enquiries and treating the incident as a murder bid.
