Auction manager Claire Godwyn inspects a 293-year-old rare first edition of Gulliver’s Travels by satirist Jonathan Swift from 1726. The novel, which comes in two parts, is believed to be the only one of its kind to go under the hammer in Scotland. It is expected to fetch £5,000 at the Great Western Auctions in Glasgow’s Fine Art and Antiques Auction today. The volumes were printed in London.
