Police hunt train attacker after sexual assaults

Police are hunting an attacker who pinned a woman into a train seat and subjected her to “prolonged and repeated” sexual assaults.

The woman was travelling on the late-night Edinburgh to Dunblane service when she was subjected to the ordeal between 10:45pm and 11:25pm on 20 March.

British Transport Police said the man sat next to the victim before he subjected her to “a prolonged and repeated sexual assault”.

Officers are now urging anyone with information to get in touch by texting 61016.
