Man injured in hit-and-run murder bid

A man has suffered serious injuries in a deliberate hitand-run murder bid.

At around 11:20pm on Thursday, the 38-year-old was walking along Burnhouse Crescent in Hamilton when a silver Range Rover drove at him, knocking him down. The vehicle then sped off.

The victim was taken to Hairmyres Hospital for treatment to serious leg injuries. Police Scotland is treating the incident as attempted murder.
