Strike over working hours change dispute

Council workers in Angus are to go on strike over a dispute about changes to working hours.

The row centres on plans for household waste to be collected from 6am until 10pm, as of April. It means 140 workers will be required to move to a day shift/back shift work pattern.

Unite raised concerns about operating the service safely and effectively, and a potential impact on work-life balance.
