Kingussie and More clash on derby day

It is derby day in the Mowi Premiership with three local matches, including the season’s first Badenoch clash when Newtonmore host Kingussie.

More will check on the fitness of Evan Menzies but Glen Mackintosh is unavailable. Kingussie’s Lee Bain is a major doubt.

Kilmallie and Lochaber clash at the Canal Parks, with Bryan Mackay in for the home side and Martin Stewart back from injury. Lochaber’s Calum Macdonald is in goals after missing most of last season following an accident.

Kyles Athletic and Inveraray both hope to finally get their seasons underway at Tighnabruaich.

League leaders Lovat travel to Castle Leod to play Caberfeidh. Defender Blair Morrison is out for the hosts after dislocating his shoulder playing football.

Oban Camanachd are minus the injured Craig Macdougall against Kinlochshiel at Mossfield. Scott Mackillop returns and although Chrissie Macmillan is free of suspension, he has a knee problem.
