Man in hospital after serious assault in street

A man has been taken to hospital after being seriously assaulted by two people in Edinburgh .

Emergency services were called to Ferry Road at around 6pm on Saturday.

Police confirmed one man was taken to hospital as a result of the incident while another was in custody

A spokesman said: “The victim has been taken to hospital for treatment. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.”
