Love’s charitable arm sees turnover tripling

- By EMMA NEWLANDS

The charitable arm of a business that provides training and recruitment services has seen its turnover more than triple from last year.

Love Learning is part of East Kilbride-based Love, which provides staff training, in areas such as leadership and health and safety, as well as recruitment services, to companies and organisations.

Love’s aim is to solve social problems in a financially sustainable way and it uses its profits from its recruitment and training activity to in part fund its charitable arm.

The latter has seen turnover increase from about £200,000 in 2017-18 to £650,000 in 201819, and is projected to rise to £3 million in 2019-20.

When it was founded in 201415 its turnover amounted to £43,000.

Love Learning offers educational awards and employability skills to children and young people outside the education system, and it has also won a place on the North Lanarkshire Council framework.
