Gilmour takes silver at Orleans Masters
BADMINTON: Kirsty Gilmour scored her best result in international competition this year when she won a silver medal in the women’s singles at the Orleans Masters.
But despite a tough battle lasting an hour, Scotland’s No 1 couldn’t quite take the top spot on the podium as Japanese player Saena Kawakami won the final 21-8, 18-21, 21-16.
In the men’s doubles, Alex Dunn and Adam Hall lost to Korea’s Lee Yang and Wang Chi-lin in the semi-finals.
