Thomson denied first PSA title in Sweden

SQUASH: Scottish No 2 Alison Thomson narrowly missed out on her maiden PSA title after losing yesterday’s Swedish Open final in Skelleftea.

The 22-year-old beat Edinburgh teenager Georgia Adderley in Saturday’s semifinals, but London’s Kace Bartley stunned top seed Enora Villard in the other semi and the fourth seed continued that form yesterday, triumphing 11-9, 11-8, 5-11, 11-9 to clinch her first PSA title.
