Teach cycle safety in schools – parents

-

A growing number of parents want cycle training to be part of the national curriculum in schools, according to a study.

Research by Halfords suggested four out of five parents believe cycle safety should be taught in schools. Most of the 2,000 adults surveyed said training was essential for children before they ride on roads.

Almost two-thirds of parents said they would support more money being spent on teaching children cycle safety at the expense of other services.
