Dunfermline Athletic Ayr pursuit

If Dunfermline are to sneak into the Premiership play-offs a good performance is required before the TV cameras tomorrow evening.

Dunfermline can match Dundee United for size of crowds(6,096 on Tuesday evening), passion, noise, atmosphere, effort and commitment. We cannot come close for investment. Nothing epitomised that more than watching our former star striker, Nicky Clark, playing against us, while being loudly booed! Yet we’re a sporting lot at East End, much given to applauding former Pars players onto the park. Against Ayr that entails a lot of clapping. Managed by another Pars legend, they looked invincible for half the season. Today we are the team with momentum and we have them in our sights.
