Trolley trauma

For those dropping visitors or friends at Edinburgh Airport, a new money-making ruse has arrived. The least expensive charge is levied if you manage to drop off and depart in under two minutes. Charges rise exponentially if you stay longer.

The total absence of trolleys for luggage, and ensuing search, meant a stay of over two minutes one recent morning and thus an extra charge. Deliberate ploy? I hope it was just incompetence! MICHAEL J WALKER
