Glass houses are so fragile

-

Agood crisis should never be wasted and so, as a no-deal Brexit looms, the Labour Party is firing its political guns at the SNP.

Readers might think the official opposition’s target should be the Conservative government but that would be to betray terrible naivety about the business of politics.

Labour demands that SNP MPS support a revised soft Brexit proposal or face the charge that they aided the UK’S disastrous No

Deal departure from the EU. This is deeply reductive stuff. The SNP has been far more consistent in its position on the matter of Brexit than the Labour Party has and it is a little rich that Labour – which really has been all over the place – now seeks to preach on the matter.

The truth, as we see it, is that – regardless of party – almost every MP is currently standing in a very large, very fragile glass house, each pane testament to their failure to handle Brexit at all competently.
