Murder attempt leads to man being charged

A man has been arrested and charged with attempted murder after an incident in East Ayrshire last month.

A 46-year-old man was found injured in the street near Ayr Road in Kilmarnock at about 1:50pm on 11 March. He was treated at Crosshouse Hospital.

Police said a 48-year-old man has now been arrested and charged.

He is due to appear at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court today.
