First Minister Nicola Sturgeon is facing an internal battle with SNP activists over her plans to use the pound if Scotland becomes independent, it has been reported.

The whole thing is like a never ending charade. It isn’t ever going to happen. So much energy and thinking wasted on fanciful dreams whilst the real job suffers.

Grigalach The SNP are clueless when it comes to any straightforward questions about independence. This lot have had us in a neverendum since 2012 and yet they still can’t answer basic questions. If Brexit is a mess, think how badly things would be if we had voted Yes. We would still be part of the UK with the SNP trying to decide on what currency we should use.

Imagine: You have a mortgage which has to be paid in sterling. The SNP create a new Scottish currency in an Independent Scottish Nirvana. The markets decide the new Scottish currency is worth 80 pence sterling. Your mortgage payments will now be increased by 20%.
