Cancer charity signs water supply deal with Business Stream
Cancer Research UK has become the latest organisation to agree a water supply contract with Edinburghheadquartered Business Stream.
The firm, which is a whollyowned subsidiary of Scottish Water with its own board, said the deal is designed to help the charity save water and money across its sites in Scotland and England. The contract award followed a competitive tendering process.
Jo Dow, chief executive of Business Stream, said: “We’re delighted to be working with Cancer Research UK to provide water expertise across the majority of their sites in Scotland and England.
“By working closely with Cancer Research UK we will help them to generate water and waste water efficiencies, which in turn will deliver both environmental and financial savings.”
Martin Elliott, head of retail property operations at Cancer Research UK, added: “As a large charity, it is vital that we are operating as efficiently as possible, both in terms of internal processes and in spend on utilities. By working with Business Stream, we can reduce the time spent on managing billing and instead focus on working with Business Stream to manage water more effectively”.
Business Stream will provide water services across the charity’s portfolio of English and Scottish retail park superstores and high street charity shops. 0 Jo Dow: delighted to work with Cancer Research UK
