Royal seal of approval: Final preparations made for historic Victoria exhibition

-

Buckingham Palace staff arrange Queen Victoria’s Stuart Ball costume during the preview for the Queen Victoria’s Palace exhibition at the royal site this summer.

The exhibition will tell the story of her 62-year reign and her life at Buckingham Palace in the 200th anniversary of her birth. Starting when she came to the throne in June 1837, when she was just 18, the exhibition charts her reign through a display of rare effects and artefacts, including a portrait of the ruler painted by Thomas Sully, along with Queen Victoria’s personal seal, the Star and Collar of the Order of the Bath.
